The Carnival Pride is a Spirit-class ship and one of the few options for east-coast passengers who don’t want to fly to a departure port. It sails year-round from Baltimore with Caribbean, Bermuda, and occasionally Cuba itineraries that work well as drive-to-port choices for the mid-Atlantic region. Nick & Nora’s supper club is the specialty dining centerpiece, and it tends to be easier to book here than on ships sailing out of busier southern ports. The Limelight Lounge runs comedy and live music through the week, and the BlueIguana Tequila Bar covers the lido-side cocktail demand. The Serenity adults-only pool and Cloud 9 Spa both benefit from the Spirit-class’s slightly smaller overall scale. These ships tend to feel less crowded than the comparable areas on the Dream or Excel-class ships. The Piano Bar runs late on sea nights and develops its own regulars by mid-voyage.
